My labor has been pending from Jan 03. I am having a combined Bachelor's degree which was not mentioned in the Form 750A[mentioned as Bachelors] I came to know that couple of days back after my attorney informed me that she had sent a amendment latter to change my status two months back after waiting for 3 long years to add "combination of Bachelor's degree".
Should I be really worried at this stage and did any body had this problem or did you amend the 750A form from PBEC.

If you hold a green card and know in advance that you must be outside the United States for more than one year, it's worth applying to USCIS for a reentry permit (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-46E25CCD-3076-4CAE-B8909FA9BFF73FEA.html). This lets you to stay away for up to two years.
You should send in your application before leaving. Your reentry permit will serve as an entry document when you are ready to return. The Nebraska Service Center (NSC) of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued an advisement in June 2009 regarding a change in procedures related to requests for rescheduling biometrics (fingerprinting) appointments for applications for reentry permits. The NSC has advised that all applications for reentry permits will be denied if the fingerprinting is not completed within 120 days of filing. The procedures for requesting expedited fingerprinting have not changed. I assume this is due to fact that many Green Card holders living abroad were trying to apply for the permit from overseas. In order to stp the practice, USCIS is trying to impose the strict biometrics schedule to make sure applicants apply form inside the US.
Applicants either have to appear at their scheduled appointments or request to be rescheduled. This request must occur before the appointment date. A request for rescheduling must be accompanied by a reasonable excuse for the inability to appear for the scheduled appointment. Rescheduled appointments are set within a maximum 30-day timeframe. Applicants should plan their travel accordingly, as the announcement is absolute with respect to the 30-day timeframe.
Here is a good tip to avoid one's green card being considered automatically abandoned under law, it is important to return within one year, at the latest.

you'd mentioned 140 withdrawl in dec2009.
AC21 is not mandatory in my opinion ( my lawyer's too) , I changed job this Aug
saw a soft LUD on my 4 years ago approved 140 after changing jobs..it been 3 months to the soft LUD.
seeing your pattern looks like they may send some letter but have not got any yet.

You need your employer's approval, without them you cannot change the attorney. If employer's says yes, then you can switch attorney.

Your I-485 will not get approved until the dates become current for you. For eg. say in March 2009 bulletin (which is valid from April 1st of 2009), your priority date becomes current. Your I-485 can be approved only after April 1st. Just have your wife's application ready and apply on the first day when your priority date becomes current.

Yes this can be done as long as the investiment is substantial $50,000 or more and the revenue earned is not marginal (the income derived from the business should not be just enough to support the applicant and his family). The investor possesses means of support independent of the enterprise. It may benefit applicants for an E-2 visa to demonstrate that their investments will result in the creation of jobs within the United States.

I went to Toronto , that was august 2008.
1) he just asked which school i studied when I was in F-1
2) who is your employer.
3) why did you leave studies-- I said I got a good opportunity and I am close to finish it soon.
4) he looked into my previous 797 to verify whther I was out of status any time which I was not
5) Then he said the unofortunately you have a very common last name so we he gave the a sheet , kept the original 797 and gave my passport back to me...took 6months before I got email .. went back and got the visa...
I dont know whether I have to go thorugh that issues again when I go for stamping...

as long as you enter the country back on or before Sept 30th 2010 you will be in good shape otherwise you will need a new visa to enter.

I think we need reform. Current H1B system is employer dependant and make us slave. There should be more breathing space.

I am planning to go to Canada for H1B visa stamping. Will there be any problem if i have company on H1B. I opened in 2003 and My friend is working in that company. I am working for my employer only. Will there be any problem if i have company either in GC stage or getting Visa in Canada.

It is their error and mistake. There is no time to correct. So, officer should understand.
becuase, his / her previous approval notices / I-94 copy on approval notice - the lower left part and I-94 the lower right part should have correct start and end dates. he can carry them.
In my son's I-94, the one previous to the lat/latest one, his country of citizenship was notes as Oman (and not India). During the last renwal, it was corrected to India. My attorney placed a note.
I went to Vancouver, BC in March 07 and got H1s stamped.
Any other experiences. Please, take a moment and share.

He planned to visit India for stamping and already booked the air ticket + consulate appointment.
But the Visa validity start date in his I-797A is incorrect. He joined this company only in 2006 but the start date shown in I-797A is sometime in 2001.
Though the END date is correct, Is it going to cause any problem in his Visa stamping?
He got only 2 weeks to fly and skeptical about the turnaround timeframe to file for correction.
His lawyer says it is a very minor problem and will not affect the visa stamping.
Please share any similar experiences / ideas.

My mother scheduled a trip to USA on May 1st. I am concerned about her passport. Her old passport got wet on the borders of the first two and last two pages. VISA was stamped in the old passport which seems to be safe. I do not see any wet appearance on the borders of the VISA page. The old wet passport expired anyway. And she got new one. Will it be safe to travel with these two passport having wet old passport containing VISA stamp? Thanks.

I was concerned about them getting out during stopover in London & Immmigration /Customs, Baggaige claim & taking TRAIN in ATL airport .

I came to us on h4 visa . after comming here i joined a university and applied for change of status to f1 and it is approved. I am planning a trip to india. do i need to go to indian consulate for f1 visa? if i have to go wat r the chances of rejecting f1 visa? if my f1 visa gets rejected can i come back on h4 visa? is my h4 visa valid? or do i need to apply for h4 visa again? and if i apply wat r the chances of approval ? please help me i am in a tough situation. please i need ur advise. thank u :)

I once fell out of status because I failed to maintained 12 units. I filed for reinstatement and it was approved after 2 miserable years. I had no idea why it took them that long but in those 2 years I felt my life was put on hold. Good news, yes they do approve if you file however you have to have a good reason in your letter to convince them to reinstate you. Goodluck
