Indian Government sources had said that the Bureau of Diplomatic Security had contacted the ministry of external affairs (MEA), India around the time Mr Pacheco was incarcerated for his alleged involvement in the mysterious death of his girlfriend Nadia Torrado � he was in jail from July 9 till July 26, when he was awarded bail. He is a former Goa, India tourism minister Francisco Xavier �Mickky� Pacheco was caught on the backfoot on Sunday once again as reports surfaced that the US State Department�s Bureau of Diplomatic Security had informed India that Mr Pacheco might be involved in a big immigration and money laundering racket.
Mr Pacheco used to operate an employment agency along with his estranged wife Sara Pacheco which specialized in finding employment for Goans abroad. But according to the former minister, he has had nothing to do with the agency since he separated from his wife around four years back.

This law only applies to H1-B filing fees paid to USCIS. Your employer is still legally allowed to collect any attorney fees for filing your petition from you.

No that is wrong assumption. H1B can be extended only based on the beneficiary's self I-140 not spouse's
Consult his/your attorney and renew H1B. At least start GC process to be eligible for H1 extension after 6 years

Found this while searching the website of the Senate Judiciary committee. Even though it is more than a month old, the references to SKIL bill in the hearing offers a glimmer of hope to us..As I understand the SKIL bill has been referred to the same committee for several months now.

Hi,
My Company recently started Perm process and posted ads in newspaper and jobsites. We have recieved couple of resumes. One of the resume meets almost all requirements, but doesn't have enough experiance in one skill set and also doesn't have required Bachelors Degree in MIS or Computer Science or EEE.
Can we reject the candidate saying, doesn't have required bachelors Degree in above mentioned 3 fields, and not having enough experiance in one of the specified skill set?
And also do we need to do interview candidates before rejecting?

If you are not employer, your company will take care of these things.Did they ask you to help them in this regard??

When we use the recent I94 (from the H1), do we need to say "were you inspected by an immigration officer?" as "yes"?
The start date for this should be the date of entry at the airport or the start date on the recent I94?
You were inspected by the immigration officer thats how you got the I94, there is no I-94 vending machines out there, atleast that I know of.
Your second question is not clear. Ur Date of Entry is ur start date of the I-94, so whats the question.

One of my friend is ready to apply for 485. He is all set.
The problem is he got recently married and his wife's passport and other details are not yet ready and she is still in India.
Can he still submit his 485 for his wife?

Hi,
I have received the EAD card yesterday with No finger prints available. But we have done our Finger printing before the EAD is approved. Approx 4 weeks before.
Is this normal? Or i should contact USCIS about this?
I know some applicants getting their EAD cards before finger prints were taken for them No finger prints available makes sense.
Any responses are appreciated

My PD is Feb 2008 and my I-140 has been approved the same year. I am on my H-1b 3 yr extension.
If I were to change my job now, will I lose my PD or can the new company refile my new I-140?

The bassist was reeeeealy close to a bright yellow-ish light everytime it came on (hit his arm and bass) it blew everything all to hell. Not quite sure how to compensate for something like that so I started taking shots when that one light turned off.
I was using a flash with a different band but from a distance. I wasn't too sure if it would bother them or not.

Any idea with whats going on with TSC Processing times, my PD is current Nov' 2003, however do not see any movement in the processing times, 485 applied on Aug 7, 007, any idea when they will publish the new processing times? Any way we can know where we are in the 485 proccess?

You need to be present in US at time of applying for the extension and when its approved. Said that in your case I think it would be fine to start H1B extension process after you are back. May be to be safe you can try doing it premium(if company is ready to spend extra money) as it gets done usually in less than a month.
