    EVERY SINGLE ITEM on our goals benefits H4 spouses indirectly. Including the short term goals of IV.

    Well what eb3_nepa and me are eluding to has no intention of superseeding the main agenda nor is it in anyway a distraction, it just the germination of an idea out of circumstantial frustration. Also if we truly belive what we are doing is right then there is no question of leaving this forum.

    We all support the main agenda and also have a very positive attitude that we will see the light of a bright new day very soon. God willing we all will have our GC in 2 years or so.

    If you look at the PD progress for EB3 I, the only movement was during March and April 07.

    if the recapture bill doesnt pass, we are looking at something similar this year too, very little movement. My guess is that EB 2 I is also going to retrogress a bit, simply because of the number of applicants in that category. EB 3 ROW will also see slow movement because of the distribution pattern.

    I dont see how genuine consulting firms will be affected by this. Those who employ people on H1B with genuine clients will be OK. Only consulting firms who bring/hire H1b employees without any project will be impacted. In my opinion this will help avoid the benching practice...

    You did not miss anything. Those affected are bodyshop people who abuse the system. This memo is really good for those of us who do not support abuse. If these abusers get kicked out at POE and their I140 and I485 are denied, it may make more room for those of us who have not cheated the system. If my application is in Q behind these abusers, then I surely want these guys kicked out.

    I think this is a valid point. We should request from USCIS to treat the employment base category same as other category. I am not sure that USCIS could fix this by themselves or they need any legislation.

    This will be a big relief for us and will fix our 50% backlog.

    Increasing GC numbers and/or not counting family members have been brought up in lawmaker meetings in the past. IV has been active and trying to get things done either administratively or legislatively. Look back at the letter writing campaign and consider some recent administrative fixes.

    Need of the hour, call CHC members and your representatives.

    How can an Annual report prove "Employment of beneficiary" and he/she is been or currently is paid the proffered wage??

    Thanks man for your replies. I'm gathering as much as I can. All the tickets, birth certs.
    Plus, to add to the complication, I've also confirmed ticket to meet them at Frankfurt on their way to US. My Euro vacation for a week would collapse and have to cancel everything.

    I'm try to keep myself sane. There are much worse situations people are facing in this forum ( for example, a ninth pregnant lady getting laid off).
    Just hoping (and praying) that this can be solved smoothly.

    Is it correct to say only nebraska Service center is issuing the rfe because they are pre adjudicating while Texas service center is not issuing rfe because they are not pre adjudicating 485. A vast majority of people getting rfe on 485 (95% or more) are from nebraska Service center.

    My application is pending with the Texas Service Center. It appears that TSC is also pre-adjudicating.

    One of the approaches can be for state chapters to be involved and solicit donations from local members. I liked the idea for donations from immigrants who have already obtained green cards and online ADS from google as long as we do not overdo it. I am leaning more towards funding drives. For reasons that people in the process understand better than I do, I agree that the amounts cannot be disclosed. Hence it would be nice to have offline discussions or discussions on PMs on targets between state chapter members.

    I for one am not for monthly payments or memberships. That just makes for exclusive organization and we want to be more inclusive.

    I also had another important question we need to ask ourselves. Do we want to solicit funding or donations or participation? They are two very different things. Participation is not limited to monetary involvement but can include time and ability (designing banners, websites, writing letters et al.) donation.

    I think we should create a separate section/webpage and list all the members who have contributed 100$ or more. This might encourage others who have not contributed, to contribute. Also, this might encourage people who have contributed less than 100$ to contribute atleast 100$ and see their names in this special recognition section (not to mention the immense help they would do to the IV goal of 150K by may 1st).

    Hello All

    I applied 140 in EB2 and got an RFE on Education.I have a Bachelors(3year) and masters(2years) with 8 years of experience.I have submitted an education valution with the petition still got an RFE asking to provide one with the following points
    1)Consider formal education only, not practical training experience
    2) State the collegiate training was post secondary education i .e. did the applicant complete the United States equivalent of high school before entering college
    3)provide a detailed explanation of the material evaluated and how the evaluator has reached their conclusions rather than a simple conclusive statement

    any one please help who has gone through this before

    I am a highly skilled professional working in this state providing a valuable service. I have a green card petition pending. Those like Lou Dobbs oppose migration of those of my kind, virtually any kind. Please tell me why? What do I tell my grateful patients, about this self acclaimed patriot?
    His is an agenda against all immigration. He just finds the most convenient arguments now against illegal immigration. Let me explain, I am on H1b visa, he criticizes that as well. My conclusion is he wants me to leave too. Ask him to name one kind of immigration he is for.

The dealer there commented that if it were not for professionals like myself buying his cars, his dealership would struggle. I'm not sure why Lou Dobbs does not wish to understand that. He is certainly smart enough to do so. Perhaps he does not want to understand. He preys on the worst fears of people, instead of building on their optimism. That is not what got this country where it is. If this country were full of Lou Dobbs, frankly I would not want to be part of it. Fortunately, I believe it is not.

    I doubt anyone has been through my situation because most of you are high or higher-paid IT professionals. In my case, my company's immigration attorneys have been requesting the prevailing wage over and over for more than a year noiw (in order to get me started with PERM) but the prevailing wage always comes back way higher than what I am getting paid! Evidently, I am severely underpaid, and there is no light at the end of my tunnel unless my company matches the prevailing wage, which I doubt they will do. I used to laugh at those that called H1B the "modern day slavery", but now I am not laughing anymore. Has anyone at all been through this ordeal and can at least share a shoulder to cry on? Thanks guys
