As the new 'bug' section says: there is a resizing bug when viewing the back. Click the bottom of the widget to make it large before you view prefs to get the smoothest transition.
The code cleanup is needed now more than ever. This was one of the lasts steps in the beta stage. I will now (appart from fixing some more - user reported - bugs maybe) start working on the widget from scratch. Less code, nicer graphics, easier to use. It will take a while though.
Any request on widget abilities will be considered.
Time to enjoy the weather.

I believe there will be an iphone, but I doubt it will be a smartphone right out of the gate.
Not to be too skeptical, but look at how long and how much R&D goes into current smartphones (especially qwerty ones). There were leaks for MONTHS before the E62, TMobile Dash, Blackberry Pearl, Treo 700p/W/750v/680, HTC StrTrK, etc all came out, because these things don't happen in a total vacuum...all that testing, it's hard to keep tongues from wagging and secret cameras from snapping. And people are certainly on the lookout, so it's not like Apple would fly under the radar.

Since it seems pretty likely that we will be a government shutdown 2011 might as well start a thread about it.

it seems pretty clear the Tea Partiers do not want to compromise at all. They not only want 33-50bill in cuts but they want to choose were they come from.
I was listening to the new last night and instead of logical choices in cuts they wanted to go after education, Medicare and things that help the core.
refused to say cut money out of oil subsidy and tighten the ropes on agriculture subsidy.
looks like to me the Tea partiers are showing their true colors when that is what they really want.
Either way figure this thread is going to pop up.
As for students hope you have filed your FASFA by now and those who are trying to get Refunds hope you taxes are down.
As for those who have to pay some taxes a shut down could help you because it will take them longer to process the payment so you hold on to your interested longer. remember it has to be post marked by the 18th no matter what.

Trump is too much about himself and his personality has to get him what he wants. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way in the White House. He won't get everything his way and he needs to do things based on the citizens, not what he wants.

So, I picked one up the other day. Trying to find the "sweet spot" is really annoying. I'm assuming your supposed to keep adjusting the 3DS and your head until you don't see two images anymore, and that's the so-called sweet spot?
Honestly, I don't really see that much of a difference. There's a little more depth to with 3D effect (but it's not in your face like a 3D ride at Disney World or like Avatar where stuff was floating in the air). The AR games are neat except they require a cardboard card (Really Nintendo? Wasn't this idea a huge failure with Animal Crossing e-Reader on the GameCube?)
Pilotwings is also pretty terrible. I can't wait for the Virtual Console to launch. I'm glad Super Mario Land will be a launch title. Hopefully, Nintendo will iron out the 3DS kinks in time.

A good selling point would have to be how fast you can put on your music. My sister's Treo is painfully slow at that.

The Treo, like most music phones, use media cards. If you use a USB media card reader instead of a sync cable, it should sync at USB 2.0 speeds. No need for FireWire. That's how I put music on my SonyEricsson phone.

How can something like this be for "some phones?" Doesn't make much sense to me--seems more likely to be a problem with the carrier--mine did fine figuring out it was now daylight savings time. :confused:
Is it possible that 4.2.6 and 4.3 have different DST settings? Sure. Unlikely? You bet. Odds are we're seeing an issue with carriers and it localized in spots.

Here is a nice place to start (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2493) to learn about this. There are apps available (not free IIRC) that will allow for quite a bit of customization. But all (edit: well, not all, but a lot) of it can be done for free with enough research and time.
Have fun! I spent hours upon hours playing around with this when I first switched from Windows to Mac. :)

Here is a good stat to look at, we are #52 at crunching but 58 position. Our outlook is better, but really it is just enough for keeping our spot.
Hopefully the release of GPU3 for macs, a3 bigadv and 12 cores mac pro will help.

Ok, so Intel has the Itanium, well they have the Itanium2 I guess if you want to get super current, so what! The Itanium is based on a brand new design that looks good on paper, but Intel will be the first to admit it has not performed as good as they hoped.
Sun, IBM and SGI have had 64bit processors way before Intel. So if you say the Itanium is ok for the high-end consumer, then It's safe to say that a Sun Ultra10 or a SGI Octane would also be a high-end consumer machine.
What makes you so sure that a 16 processor G4 machine would not perform, because of the bus speed. What about super high-end servers like the CM5 or the Cray T3D. I seriously doubt those machines have 500Mhz bus speeds, or DDR memory. I know for a fact that the CM5 had dedicated memory for each processor node, and each node had 2 vector units. If you want, I can find out specifics from my brother, who has actually programmed code for it, when he worked at Las Alamos. Whether a 16 processor G4 machine is relevant or not, it could be built and if built right, would be very fast.
So the .NET family is limited to 32 processors huh....Weak, very weak. You can say what you want, UNIX still scales better than Windows, no matter what the flavor.
In my opinion, Microsoft is beginning to die a slow painful death. Everyone is tired of their ************ and half-assed attempts of secure computing. Everyone always complains that Macs are not open enough, well I think the opposite is true. Apple embraces open standards and even invents and shares them when none exist, while Microsoft shuns and sometimes even steals others work, in a attempt to push their own proprietary formats and stifle progress.
I find it funny that Intel invented USB, but it was Apple that took the leap of faith and pushed it into the mainstream. Apple, in my opinion is the only company thinking "outside the box" and in the end, they will win because of it.

It's a Mid 2009 15" Macbook pro. I think it's the version of bootcamp, 3.0.4 but i can't find 3.1 or later on the apple site for some reason and all the other ones download in code; driving me drazy. I think the version of windows is either the original or 7.1. Any thoughts?

I dont know, when I look at that white iphone. it has that unusual ridge around the edge like so many clones. The black iphone does not have a ridge around its edge. Why would the white one? i don't know, there is so much speculation around this new iphone 5 and the white iphone. Who knows what to believe! :)
